KTM have pulled the cloak off a second supermoto stud in as many months.
Hot on the heels of the return of the 890 SMT, KTM have launched a new model of what they refer to as ‘the bar of reference’ in supermoto, the 2024 KTM 450 SMR.
This is the same model that Luka Höllbacher rode to the 2022 AMA Supermoto title. And now supermoto riders with their own aspirations to dominate the track can get their gloves on it at AMS Motorcycles.

The 450 cc SOHC engine
Ride fast with the 450 cc SOHC engine, producing 63 hp and needing less frequent servicing.
Weighing less than 27 kg, the powerplant excels in power-to-weight engineering. A 44 mm Keihin throttle body adds to the excitement and ensures quick response. The SUTER slipper clutch helps control speed for better lap times.

Improved suspension
Turn on a dime with reliable suspension. The 48 mm WP XACT split front fork features AER technology, delivering smooth and consistent damping, especially in the last 40 mm of travel.
You can easily adjust compression and rebound with the quick access click adjusters. The WP XACT shock is compact, light, and integrated into the frame geometry, providing better ground clearance for the linkage system.
It's one of the coolest things to come out of the WP Suspension factory, and just like the fork, you can tweak the compression and rebound settings without needing any tools.
Effortless set up for racers
Racers will find their lives made easier with the KTM's specialised features. The electric start ensures hassle-free ignition, while the tool-less air filter allows for easy replacement.
The flat and high seat, equipped with a high-grip cover, provides excellent control at any angle.
With a generous polythene 7.2-liter fuel tank, riders can cover more miles at high speeds.
The footpegs are carefully engineered with a larger surface area and integrated into the frame for optimal performance on both tarmac and diverse terrains.

More race-focused details
Take charge of the track and experience an array of awesome race-focused details.
We're talking about two selectable engine maps, launch control, traction control, and the Quickshifter, all finely tuned by a badass 44 mm Keihin engine management system. Plus, you'll have LED hour meters and Fuel Injection status indicators to keep you in the know.
For your safety, there's a Roll Over Sensor (ROS) that's got your back. If you happen to take a spill, this nifty feature detects it and shuts down the engine automatically.
It's all about taking your performance and safety to the next level on the track.
