We’re only 12 months removed from KTM dropping totally renewed SX and SX-F ranges, but Team Orange couldn’t resist a little tinker for MY 2024.
Annual freshen up
As is tradition, KTM have given the graphics their annual freshen up. Like the previous years, they’ve borrowed heavily from the iconic styling of the early 1990s. Purple is reintroduced as the highlight colour, however orange and white still dominates the range. All graphics are applied using KTMs time-proven in-mold technology which reduces peeling, scratching and cracking.
Performance upgrades for 2024
Performance upgrades are all focused on the suspension. Changes have been made to improve overall bike balance and ride comfort. At the rear, a WP XACT rear shock provides advanced damping characteristics for unsurpassed traction and energy absorption.
Up front the 48 mm WP XACT front fork provides improved bottoming-out resistance, and damping, and allows the fork to stay lower and more planted on initial acceleration after a hard landing.
Last year’s improvements make the cut
KTM riders across the world have given overwhelmingly positive feedback on the upgrades made to the 2023 SX and SX-F ranges. These improvements have been renewed for MY 2024. The redesigned chassis was the headline upgrade and consists of:
- A Hydro-formed, laser-cut, and robot-welded frame
- A 2-piece polyamide reinforced aluminium subframe
- A Hollow die-cast aluminium swing arm
The frame has proven itself to provide exceptional rider feedback, energy absorption, and straight-line stability at speed.
Improved ride comfort boosts rider confidence
KTM’s focus on improving the overall ride comfort has helped boost KTM rider confidence around the world. Confident riders ride faster and safer.
The 2024 KTM SX and SX-F ranges employ the same, best-in-class rider triangle, resulting in unrivalled knee contact to the frame, even when standing.
The flat seat profile and added contact surfaces improve overall handling and agility across both the ranges.
