2027 KTM Freeride E Available Now

2027 KTM Freeride E Available Now

If you’ve ever fancied riding trails without the noise, the hassle, or worrying about where you’re allowed to go, the KTM FREERIDE E has always been the answer. Now for 2027, KTM has taken that idea and pushed it even further.

This is still the same easy-going, confidence-building electric offroader, just sharper, stronger and more capable where it counts.

What’s New For 2027?

KTM hasn’t tried to reinvent the bike, they’ve focused on making it better to ride, easier to live with and more capable out on the trails.

You’re getting:

  • More peak power, now up to 19.2 kW

  • Refined power delivery for smoother control

  • Slight increase in battery capacity

  • Reduced overall weight, now just 112 kg

  • Updated styling for a fresher look

It’s all about making the FREERIDE E feel more planted, more responsive and more fun, whether you’re new to offroad or already riding regularly.

Electric Power That Just Works

The big appeal of the FREERIDE E hasn’t changed, instant torque, no gears, no clutch, just twist and go.

  • 37 Nm of torque gives you that punch straight off the line

  • Top speed sits at around 95 km/h

  • Three ride modes let you dial it up or tone it down

  • Three energy recovery settings help stretch your ride time

It’s quick when you want it, controlled when you need it, and ideal for technical riding where precision matters.

Ride Longer, Charge Quicker

Range anxiety isn’t really a thing here, especially for typical offroad riding.

  • 5.5 kWh battery capacity

  • Around 2 to 3 hours of Enduro-style riding

  • Swappable battery design for longer days

  • Built to handle over 1,000 charge cycles before dropping to 80% performance

Charging is simple too:

  • Around 8 hours with the standard charger

  • As little as 1.5 hours with the faster 3.3 kW option

So whether you’re heading out for a quick session or planning a full day with a spare battery, it’s covered.

Lightweight, Agile And Built For The Trails

One of the standout things about the FREERIDE E is how easy it is to handle.

  • Just 112 kg ready to ride

  • Chrome-molybdenum steel frame for strength and precision

  • Lightweight subframe using aluminium and reinforced materials

  • Seat height now at 910 mm

It’s slim, balanced and confidence-inspiring, especially on tighter trails or technical sections.

Proper Offroad Hardware

This isn’t a toy, it’s built with the same mindset as KTM’s full offroad range.

  • WP XACT and XPLOR suspension

  • Braketec braking system

  • Michelin Enduro Medium tyres

  • 21” front and 18” rear wheel setup

Everything works together to give you grip, control and comfort across mixed terrain.

Smart Tech, Without The Fuss

KTM has kept things simple but effective.

  • Adjustable traction control

  • Rollover sensor for added safety

  • Clear LED interface for key information

No distractions, just the essentials to help you ride better.

Why The Freeride E Still Stands Out

The biggest win with this bike is where and how you can use it.

It’s:

  • Quiet, so you’re not upsetting neighbours or other trail users

  • Low maintenance, no oil changes or engine servicing

  • Easy to ride, perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a second bike

  • Capable enough for proper offroad fun
