Good news if you are looking at a new KTM or Husqvarna road legal motorcycle.
Both brands have extended their Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty to cover all street legal models from model year 2025 onwards. That means more riders now get four years of manufacturer warranty cover, not just those buying selected larger models.
It is a simple update, but a useful one. More bikes are covered, the terms are clearer and the warranty follows the motorcycle, not just the first owner.
What Has Changed?
KTM’s four year Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty now applies to all street legal motorcycles in its street range from model year 2025 onwards, regardless of engine size.
That includes bikes across the Adventure, Dual Sport, Naked, Supersport, Sports Tourer and Supermoto ranges. Track only and closed course competition models are not included.
Husqvarna has made a similar move, extending four year Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty cover to its full street range from model year 2025 onwards. This covers street homologated models across the Travel, Naked and Supermoto categories.
In plain English, that means more road legal KTM and Husqvarna riders now get longer warranty cover as standard.
KTM Models Now Covered
KTM says the updated warranty applies across its street legal motorcycle range from model year 2025 onwards, including:
The key point here is that engine size no longer limits eligibility across the street legal range. Whether you are looking at something smaller and practical or something with serious performance, the four year cover now applies as part of KTM’s wider street range, as long as the bike meets the warranty conditions.
Husqvarna Models Now Covered

Husqvarna has listed the models included within its updated four year Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty.
Naked models:
- Svartpilen 125
- Svartpilen 401
- Svartpilen 801
- Vitpilen 125
- Vitpilen 401
- Vitpilen 801
Travel models:
Supermoto models:
Husqvarna has also confirmed that the updated cover applies to model year 2025 motorcycles already in dealer inventory, as well as bikes that have previously been sold or registered, as long as all warranty conditions are met.
The Warranty Follows The Bike
One of the more useful parts of the KTM warranty is that it is attached to the motorcycle, not the rider. That means the cover stays with the bike, rather than only applying to the person who bought it first.
For buyers, that adds peace of mind. For owners, it could also make the bike more appealing if they decide to sell it within the warranty period.
Servicing Still Matters
There is one important condition to keep in mind.
To maintain the full four year warranty, all required servicing must be carried out in line with the official service plan by an authorised dealer like us.
So, the warranty is simple, but you do need to keep the bike serviced properly.
Thinking About A New KTM Or Husqvarna?
If you are looking at a new KTM or Husqvarna road legal bike, this extended four year warranty is worth factoring into your decision.
