The reworked KTM 890 LC8c
The reworked 889cc LC8c parallel twin engine produces 105 hp at 8,000 rpm. This gives the KTM 890 SMT a 20% increase in rotating mass, resulting in better stability during cornering. It features knock control and 46 mm dual Dell’Orto throttle bodies for optimal momentum.

The fuel consumption is impressively low at 4.6 liters/100 km from the 15.8 liter tank.
Upgraded suspension and tires
The WP APEX suspension on the KTM 890 SMT consists of fully adjustable 43 mm open cartridge upside-down forks with 180 mm of travel, and the same for the shock. These suspension components work well with the 17" wheels.
The Michelin PowerGP tires are chosen specifically for their specifications and suitability to meet the demands of the KTM 890 SMT. They provide excellent grip on even the slipperiest tarmac.
Ride modes and safety features
The KTM 890 SMT offers three standard ride modes: RAIN, STREET, and SPORT.
Additionally, a TRACK setting is available, allowing riders to adjust throttle modes and traction control across 10 levels.
The Cornering Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) feature enhances safety by monitoring the bike's pitch and behaviour during leans. The handlebar positions can be adjusted with a range of 30 mm, providing six different options.

The bike is equipped with powerful brakes, including four-piston callipers on a 320 mm front disc and double-piston callipers on a 260 mm rear disc.
For added safety, the bike features Cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS.
Optional extras & PowerParts
Additional features available for the KTM 890 SMT include heated grips and the option to add Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) to enhance control in low grip situations and facilitate fast downshifts.
The software package also offers optional QUICKSHIFTER+ and Cruise Control, which can be easily activated.
To complete the package, a comprehensive selection of KTM PowerParts (accessories and TRACK and TECH Packs) and KTM PowerWear are available, ensuring riders can fully embody the KTM 890 SMT experience whether on the hills, highways, or any adventure that brings joy with the bike.
