It’s been a couple of years since the very limited production run of 1290 Super Duke RRs was snapped up by KTM fans in just a few days.
If you’ve ever seen one tearing up track days and pictured yourself as the proud owner of one of these beasts, we have good news!
This year KTM will build another 500 units. They’ll have a darker, meaner look but the same mind-boggling levels of performance. Only a few KTM dealers get a look in when it comes to these limited-run bikes, and we’re very happy to say, AMS Motorcycles are one of them!
Proper performance
The numbers really do speak for themselves. 1,301 cc, 180 hp, 180 kg, and 140 Nm, with a phenomenal 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, making it every bit as beastly as its predecessor, but with a darker shadow.
Thanks to all the carbon fibre componentry, the 2023 KTM 1290 Super Duke RR is 11kg lighter than a standard beast. It’s equally at home on the track as it is on twisting mountain roads.
If those numbers don’t quite cut the mustard, a full system Akrapovič EVO line exhaust system is available as an optional extra, which adds even more bite to The Beast.
Anything but standard suspension
What makes it a true track day terror is the suspension. A collection of WP suspension’s finest components including a fully adjustable WP APEX PRO 7548 Close cartridge fork upfront and a custom-made WP APEX PRO 7746 Shock in the rear.

The WP APEX PRO 7117 steering damper keeps things in check and offers 30 clicks to dial it into your specification.

If the impressive list of hardware isn’t enough to get you reaching for the credit card, the electronic wardrobe certainly will. The KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR boasts the most complete track-orientated electronics pack ever seen on a KTM motorcycle - as standard, adding advanced TRACK and PERFORMANCE MODE.
